Competition wins & Awards
I’m gonna brag, my classes WIN BIG!!! My philosophy is to teach what the students will actually use in real life, especially in my digital design classes. I act as the ‘client’ and the students have a ‘job’ to complete as best they can. I have my students enter design competitions frequently, using the requirements like a ‘client brief’ and getting students used to sketching ideas, taking feedback, revising, and selling their work by talking about their ideas to each other. By the time their work gets submitted to a competition, we are confident it’s miles ahead of the rest because of the hard work put into it.
